Security guard shot at Metrorail station is in critical condition
A security guard, shot at a Northwest Miami-Dade Metrorail station, was last listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
Miami-Dade Police said the guard, identified as 49-year-old Keith Cox, is at Jackson Memorial hospital.

Separate shootings claim 3 lives in South L.A., two others wounded
One man was killed and two others were wounded in a triple shooting in South L.A. late Wednesday, police said.
Authorities described the incident as drive-by shooting in the 500 block of West 94th Street in Vermont Vista, where a gunman eastbound on the street opened fire on three men outside a home just before midnight. The shooting was the second attack on a group of men in the area in less than a day.
One of the victims, who has not been identified, was sitting in a car when he was hit by gunfire and killed, said Lt. Clint Dohmen of the LAPD’s Southeast division. Two other men were wounded and rushed to a local hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.

Durham police investigating shooting of security guard
Durham police are investigating the shooting of a security guard at an apartment complex Monday night.
Officers responded to a reported shooting at the Duke Manor Apartments at 311 South LaSalle Street at 8:49 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, they found a security guard lying outside. He had been shot multiple times and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Armed robbery at Rolex store spurs LAPD search of area around Century City mall
Two men wearing ski masks and armed with what may be assault rifles robbed a Rolex store in a Century City mall, making off with several high-priced watches, police said.
About noon, the two men stormed into the high-end watch store in the 10000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and fired shots, said Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison. It is unclear whether anyone inside the store was injured.
