Security Guard Detains Gunman After 'Terroristic Threat' Made Against Cabaret
A security guard detained a gunman after he was overheard making a threat to open fire inside a Dallas cabaret Sunday morning, according to police.
Officers received a call at about 4:30 a.m. regarding an active shooter on foot at the XTC Cabaret in the 8500 block of North Stemmons Freeway. Officers arrived to find Joseph Robinson, 32, detained and handcuffed by a private security officer who worked on-site.
An investigation revealed Robinson had made a threatening statement as he was walking to his car. Robinson was heard stating he would "go to his car to get a gun to shoot the whole place up," Dallas police said in a statement.
