Security guard shoots house robber in Durban

An armed security guard shot and killed a knife-wielding attacker during a housebreaking in Umgeni Park on Wednesday evening.

The close shave for the Marshall Security reaction officer left him with cuts and bruises, while the alleged house robber was declared dead at the scene.

According to a statement released by Marshall, an armed suspect lunged at the security guard, who had responded to an alarm activation in Umgeni Park.
