4-year-old boy, 2 adults shot in South L.A.

A gunman walked up to a car and opened fire Thursday night in South Los Angeles, wounding a 4-year-old boy and two adult relatives, police said.

LAPD Sgt. Tim Jones said one of the adults had life-threatening injuries. The boy was shot in the hand.

The shooting occurred on the 2000 block of W. 99th Street shortly before 10 p.m., Jones said.
